Exploring the ruins filled with animated skeletons leaves the party with more questions than answers.
As the party explores the ruins of a town inhabited by animated skeletons, they begin to wonder if the settlement has been cursed. The skeletons reassemble when they fall apart, act as if the party isn’t even there, and go about their daily activities as if they were still alive. Following one particular skeleton they are led to an old tailor shop, the skeleton sewing without thread or needle.
Heading back out into the ruins, they find a skeleton selling newspapers that are surprisingly in good shape compared to the rest of the town. The newspaper indicates the date is 600 years ago. Trix quickly comments that the Empire would have still been in power at that time. They also note that the big headline is about the construction being completed on the observatory and there will be a big ceremony and ribbon cutting. They head up the mountainside toward the observatory in the hopes of locating star charts and a safe place to rest after a hard days’ trek.
